Applications are invited for a full-time Specialist Grade Doctor in Urology appointment (10PA's) within the Norfolk and Waveney Urology service in response to service requirements, providing care across three Acute Trusts. The main base for this post will be at James Paget University Hospital with some sessional time delivered at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. A candidate who is unable for personal reasons to undertake the duties of a whole-time post will receive equal consideration. If such a candidate is appointed the job content will be modified as appropriate in consultation with consultant colleagues and local management., Principle Job Purpose: To work in close association with the Consultant Urologists and associated specialties to provide a comprehensive general urological service at the JPUH and NNUH. Main Duties and Responsibilities:ClinicalTo provide management of in-patients and out-patients for elective and emergency cases.To contribute to networked stone service across JPUH and NNUH.To help reduce waiting lists in both out-patient and operating lists.To contribute to meeting the Care Group objectives. OrganisationalTo undertake appropriate projects and administration as required by the department. Clinical GovernanceTo provide clinical services in line with the Trust's clinical governance arrangements which are designed to ensure that agreed quality standards are achieved. These requirements include Audit, Continuous Professional Development, Risk Management and Revalidation.
