Specialist Dietitian - Paediatric and Neonatal (Rotational)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a1.0 WTE Dietitianto join the Paediatric team at Nottingham Children's Hospital (NCH). This is arotational post across paediatric and neonatal services, offering a valuable opportunity to develop a broad range of clinical skills within specialist areas.

This role is ideal for a motivated Dietitian looking to expand their clinical experience and contribute to delivering high-quality, patient-centred nutritional care. The post holder will work across both inpatient and outpatient settings, supporting children and young people with a range of clinical needs.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in improving patient outcomes through evidence-based dietetic interventions.

The post holder will:

Provide specialist dietetic support alongside Consultants and Specialist Nurses, delivering therapeutic dietary advice to paediatric and neonatal patients

Undertake nutritional assessment and implement appropriate interventions, includingoral nutrition support and enteral feeding

Participate in astructured rotation across paediatric and neonatal services, gaining experience in a range of clinical areas

Work collaboratively within the wider multidisciplinary team (MDT) to optimise patient care and support initiatives aimed at reducing hospital admissions

Manage your own caseload effectively, as well as contributing to the organisation and support of team workload

Work closely with Dietitians, Dietetic Technicians, and Dietetic Assistants within a supportive team environment

Contribute toaudit, service evaluation, and quality improvement workto demonstrate the value of dietetic input

Maintain accurate clinical records in line with professional and organisational standards

You will be expected to demonstrateexcellent communication and leadership skills, a flexible approach to work, and a strong commitment to service development. You should be enthusiastic, motivated, and keen to develop both your own skills and those of others.

Experience innutritional supportis essential. Additional training and development will be provided.
