Specialist Community Dietitian

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Community Dietitian team at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust for a newly created 24.5 hour per week Specialist Dietitian role. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Specialist Dietitian to join our Integrated Nutrition and Dietetic service at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust. You will work alongside the community dietetic team to provide a safe, effective and evidence based service to patients in community settings. This includes nutrition support, home enteral feeding and general dietetic clinics. You will be joining a supportive and enthusiastic team Dietitians, Dietetic Support Workers and a Team Secretary. The successful candidate will support driving quality improvement within the service. We are looking for a passionate and innovative dietitian who is keen to share and develop their clinical knowledge that they have acquired in relation to nutrition support and enteral feeding. The role requires excellent communication and team working skills, as well as the ability to work autonomously to manage a specialist caseload.Main duties of the job To provide a safe, effective and consistently high-quality Nutrition and Dietetic service at Stockport Foundation Trust. Manage a delegated caseload within specialist area. To assess, plan and implement patient centred, evidence -based interventions To provide evidence-based care, education and information to patients, carers and health care professionals. This will be in a range of inpatient, outpatient settings and community home visits. Contribute to the training and development of Dietetic students, as well as supervising and supporting Dietitians and Dietetic Assistant/Support workers. To support and develop the dietetic service within specialist clinical areas
