The successful applicant will contribute to the Emergency Duty Service and the post will also include weekend/ bank holiday working as per rota.

All sites have established medicines management services and electronic discharge systems. Digital solutions for prescribing and managing medicines are already live within the Health Board. Pharmacists led clinics are well established and pharmacy staff are valued members of clinical multidisciplinary teams.

CTMUHB is excited to offer an opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic pharmacist to join our service as a rotational Specialist Pharmacist.

Pharmacy services within CTMUHB benefit from a strong culture of learning, development and staff wellbeing. We work collaboratively across all sectors of pharmacy as one integrated team, with established medicines management services, electronic discharge systems, and upcoming digital prescribing and medicines management solutions. Pharmacist-led clinics are well developed, and pharmacy professionals are recognised as key contributors within our multidisciplinary teams.

In this role, you may rotate through a number of core clinical ward specialties (e.g medicine, surgery, admissions, paediatrics) and also within the Governance and High-Cost Drugs Team, contributing to the delivery of our workplan to ensure the safe, effective, and cost-efficient use of medicines for our local population. Utilisation of non-medical prescribing will be actively supported, and may involve clinic work., Cwm Taf Morgannwg (CTM) University Health Board, part of NHS Wales, serves a large population across a diverse and beautiful region, steeped in history and heritage.
