Summary

Are you a CBT Practitioner with experience of working with children and adolescents with mental health difficulties and their families? Are you interested in working in CAMHS and developing clinical experience within a fast-paced CAMH Eating Disorders Service?

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Band 7 Specialist CBT Practitioner to work in the Tri-borough CAMHS Eating Disorders team, based at Ealing CAMHS 1 Armstrong Way, Southall UB2 4SA. The role is based within our Eating Disorder Team up to 1.0 WTE.

Psychology is very well established within our CAMHS service and has a large group of staff who deliver innovative and highly-regarded clinical services in many different contexts. There is a strong and supportive network across the three trust boroughs of Hounslow, Ealing and Hammersmith & Fulham, and the CAMHS cross borough services which include CORA, the Alliance Team (which provides crisis cover and intensive community support), the DBT service, the Forensic CAMHS service and the under 5's service. We hold regular psychology meetings and there are excellent CPD opportunities with regular whole-service trainings in therapeutic approaches, as well as support for specialist supervision. We have strong links with the North London Clinical Psychology training courses and offer placements to trainees.

Our CAMHS service is innovative, creative, and values multi-disciplinary working, and our colleagues tell us that one of the things they value most is working as part of their team. Our teams are supported to undertake service development and quality improvement projects, as well as providing excellent development opportunities and support structures. Disciplines working within CAMHS include Psychology (including a vast CBT workforce of CWPs, EMHPs, CYP-PTs, and supervisors), Nursing, Allied Health Professionals (including Occupational Therapy), Systemic Family Therapy, Child Psychotherapy (including Art and Music Therapy), Social Work and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
