Full Job Description

The E&B team works with young people across the age range with a wide range of presentations from moderate to severe mental illness, including those who have experienced trauma and abuse and those presenting with suicidality and self-harm. The E&B teams are composed of a mix of disciplines including Clinical Psychology, Systemic Family Therapy, Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, Mental Health Nursing, Creative Therapy and Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy. There is a broad range of therapy groups offered and the post holder would be supported and encouraged to develop skills in group work, alongside individual clinical work.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Specialist CAMHS Practitioner with a relevant qualification (Nurse, Family Therapist, Clinical/Counselling Psychologist, CBT Therapist, Psychotherapist) with therapeutic training and experience. We welcome applicants who enjoy working effectively as part of a team, have competencies in working with families from diverse cultures and ethnicities, and have a commitment to delivering high quality, evidence based practice.

The successful candidate will join a stimulating and supportive multidisciplinary Emotional and Behavioural team (E&B) within Specialist CAMHS. You will have a varied caseload and provide brief treatment for often co-occurring emotional and behavioural difficulties and cases presenting with complexity and risk. You will be supported by a team consisting of highly experienced and skilled clinicians. We actively work with network colleagues to support our clients.

Our mission is to make a positive difference to people's lives by improving the quality of life for all we serve. Our values are: We Care, We Respect, We are Inclusive - so we are looking for people who live and breathe these qualities when supporting service users and carers, and in their relationships with colleagues in the Trust and our partner organisations.
