Full Job Description

This specialist and sensitive role is to provide compassionate bereavement care for women, birthing people and families experiencing pregnancy or baby loss. You will be coordinating care for families in subsequent pregnancies, working collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team. You will coordinate activities of the Rainbow Clinic and maintain caseload providing midwifery antenatal care on clinic day, Bereavement Support:

Provide compassionate, specialist care to families experiencing pregnancy or baby loss, ensuring high standards of clinical practice and emotional support. Deputise for the Bereavement Lead Midwife when required and support staff through training, guidance, and escalation. Coordinate care across the multidisciplinary team, including support with post-mortem processes, governance activities, and quality improvement initiatives. Contribute to national review programmes and deliver training to promote safe, sensitive bereavement care.

Rosie Rainbow Clinic:

Coordinate and manage the Rainbow Clinic caseload, including triaging referrals and delivering antenatal care. Act as a patient advocate, providing clinical and psychological support, and work closely with the wider team to ensure holistic, coordinated care.

Leadership and Management:

Support the development and review of bereavement guidelines and statutory processes, ensuring compliance with relevant standards. Build strong links with external organisations and professional networks, and act as a key resource for staff. Work closely with governance leads to support continuous improvement and high-quality care delivery.You will also be providing support and advice to the Early Pregnancy unit and NICU Teams as needed
