Special Support Assistants

• You will work with a named child within the classroom supporting learning across the curriculum.
• Prepare and plan learning with the class teacher.
• Monitor the learning of the individual child and feedback to the class teacher.
• Lead interventions to support pre/post learning as planned by the class teacher., Our aim is for children to enjoy their time as pupils in this school. We want to work in partnership with you and your child to ensure he/she enjoys a positive learning environment which supports them to achieve their full potential and make a positive contribution.
To promote a safe environment for pupils, our selection and recruitment policy includes all checks on staff and regular volunteers' suitability, including Disclosure and Barring checks, as recommended by Buckinghamshire County Council and in line with current legislation. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore applicants are required to declare:
• All unspent convictions and conditional cautions
• All spent convictions and adult cautions that are not protected (i.e. that are not filtered out) as defined by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2020).

  Chalfont St Giles Village School located in the heart of the Chilterns, is a Hard Federation between Chalfont St Giles Infant School & Nursery and Chalfont St Giles Junior School, which was formed in 2011.
