Full Job Description

As an SEN Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping children with special educational needs reach their full potential. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special educational needs
  • Assist in implementing individualised education plans (IEPs)
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment for all pupils
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure children's needs are met effectively
  • Encourage independence and development in pupils, both academically and socially

    A genuine passion for working with children and making a difference in their lives.
  • Compassion, patience, and empathy for individuals with special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of individual students.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and follow guidance from experienced professionals.
  • Desirable
  • Minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant / Level 6 Qualification - Degree
  • SEN Qualifications / Training
  • Experience working with SEN children
