We are seeking an experienced and passionate Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join our team. This is a key leadership role within the school, with responsibility for shaping and delivering outstanding provision for pupils with a range of learning differences and additional needs. The successful candidate will:
- Lead the strategic development of SEN provision across the school.
- Identify, assess, and support pupils with a variety of learning needs, ensuring they are able to access the curriculum fully.
- Work closely with teachers, pastoral staff, and parents to create individualised support plans.
- Provide guidance, training, and resources to staff to strengthen inclusive teaching practices.
- Liaise with external agencies, specialists, and exam boards to secure the best outcomes for pupils.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SEN support and interventions. About You The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in education or a related field; a postgraduate qualification in special educational needs is desirable.
- Level 7 qualification in psychometric testing and access arrangements (e.g., CPT3A or equivalent) is preferred. We would support an applicant who is willing to pursue this.
- Proven experience as a SENCO, or other similar leadership role, including leadership and management responsibilities.
