Full Job Description

The ideal candidate will have proven experience working as a Sous Chef and thrive under pressure while maintaining exceptional food quality and consistency. You should have a strong background in preparing pub classics, with a focus on using fresh, seasonal ingredients. Key responsibilities include overseeing daily kitchen operations, supporting the Head Chef, managing prep and service, and ensuring high standards of food safety and presentation at all times.

We're looking for a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our team in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment, serving over 200 guests daily during the busy summer season.,

  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume kitchen
  • Strong knowledge of British pub-style cuisine and seasonal menu development
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Passion for quality ingredients and well-executed dishes

    About Company: A unique pub situated on the Exeter canal, 15 mins walk from the quayside and now 5 minutes from Marsh Barton train station. The pub has one of the largest beer gardens in the south with over 1000 outdoor spaces. We host various events and functions that cater from 100 to our busiest one of the year hijacking 4000 people. With outdoor bars and BBQs, no week is ever the same at the double locks. In the winter was a lovely traditional pub with log fires and lots of dogs.
