Full Job Description

  • Independently perform and report a broad range of ultrasound examinations including:
    • + General abdominal ultrasound + Obstetric and gynaecological ultrasound + Foetal anomaly scanning + Nuchal translucency screening (training available if required) + Neonatal hip ultrasound + DVT, carotid, testicular and MSK examinations
  • Provide expert diagnostic reports and recommendations to clinicians.
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centred care, including in sensitive and complex situations.
  • Support and mentor students, junior colleagues and multidisciplinary team members.
  • Contribute to service development, audit, quality improvement and clinical governance activities.
  • Participate in weekend and Bank Holiday ultrasound services.
