Full Job Description
In this role, you will lead the development and delivery of end-to-end solution strategies across complex programmes and client engagements. You'll work closely with business, operational, delivery, and technical stakeholders to ensure solutions align with organisational objectives, customer outcomes, and enterprise architecture principles. Acting as a key bridge between stakeholders, you will guide architectural decision-making, manage solution risks, and ensure technology investments support both strategic and operational priorities.
You will lead and coordinate multidisciplinary architecture teams to define solution roadmaps, governance approaches, and implementation strategies across business and technology domains. You'll contribute to bids, programmes, and transformation initiatives by providing technical leadership, shaping solution direction, and ensuring alignment between business needs, delivery capability, compliance standards, and commercial objectives. Alongside driving innovation and business value, you'll support collaborative ways of working and contribute to continuous improvement across architecture and delivery practices.
Key responsibilities
Lead & Define end-to-end solution strategies across programmes, bids, and transformation initiatives
Collaborate & Align business, delivery, operational, and technical stakeholders around solution outcomes
Design & Model solution architectures, interfaces, and business capability landscapes
Guide & Influence architectural decisions across enterprise and project-specific solutions
Identify & Mitigate commercial, operational, and technical risks within complex programmes
Establish & Govern architecture review processes, technical assurance, and compliance strategies
Support & Deliver business cases, cost estimates, and delivery planning activities
Engage & Communicate effectively with clients, senior stakeholders, suppliers, and delivery teams
Promote & Align technology strategy with customer goals, business outcomes, and operational requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have strong experience leading solution architecture or enterprise-level transformation initiatives within complex business and technology environments. You'll bring a broad understanding of architecture practices, stakeholder management, governance, and delivery planning, alongside the ability to balance business objectives, operational considerations, technical strategy, and commercial risk. Strong communication, leadership, and client engagement skills will be essential, as you'll work across multidisciplinary teams and influence decision-making at multiple levels., Proven experience delivering solution architecture or enterprise transformation initiatives
Strong ability to align business strategy, operational requirements, and technology solutions
Experience leading architecture teams across programmes, bids, or large-scale delivery initiatives
Knowledge of enterprise architecture principles, governance, and solution design methodologies
Experience managing architectural risks, business cases, and delivery planning activities
Strong stakeholder engagement and client-facing communication skills
Ability to guide architectural decision-making across complex business and technical landscapes
Experience establishing governance frameworks, technical reviews, and compliance approaches
Strong understanding of systems integration, business capabilities, and enterprise technology ecosystems
Excellent collaboration and leadership capabilities within multidisciplinary environments
Desirable experience
Experience working within regulated or security-sensitive environments
Knowledge of cloud, digital transformation, or modern enterprise platform strategies
Familiarity with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or similar methodologies
Experience contributing to bids, proposals, or pre-sales solution activities
Understanding of financial modelling, commercial governance, or cost estimation practices
