Software Testing Engineer

As a Senior Software Testing Engineer, you will contribute to the definition of the Software Verification Plan, test environment including test rigs, test cases and verification procedures as required to verify embedded software for avionics systems, e.g. Auto Pilot, Flight Control and Mission Systems, in compliance with DO-178C and DO-331. Additionally, you will contribute to the set-up of the Hardware-in-the-loop test environment. Responsibilities Propose verification strategy and contribute to the definition of the Software Verification Plan and test environment. Contribute to the set-up of the Hardware-in-the-loop test environment, and other test equipment as required. Liaising with tool vendors and supporting the tool integration activity. Perform Test Coverage and Structural Coverage analysis. Perform Model Coverage analysis for design models and Model Simulation for verification of model. Creation and execution of test procedures and generation of test reports as per the
configuration management plan. Capturing defects and anomalies in problem reports and proposing solutions. Writing technical documentation. Participate in peer reviews. Work within a cross-functional team to achieve project goals. Perform other related duties as required. Report all hazards and incidents that the individual is party to, or observes, in the correct manner. When required or directed, participate in any health and safety training.

£50,000 - £60,000 per annum
