Full Job Description

SECURITY CLEARANCE: You will be subject to BPSS and Export Control checks (including a criminal record check), A challenging and exciting opportunity has arisen within the Lab test means software team who are responsible for developing and maintaining the Test Management System (TMS). You will be a key enabler for test specialists to perform their tests as well as providing a platform for rapid prototyping of new ideas involving technologies around lab test means (e.g. Virtual Testing, Test Automation Data Acquisition).. HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM

  • Act as a software specialist for development and problem solving supporting the Test Management System including system interfaces within GTB (Ground Test Box) Product perimeter
  • Develop new functionality: Use your depth of knowledge to create initial overall solution architecture that can be shared and optimised with the customer
  • Actively plan and perform knowledge and capability development for the wider team members
  • Be a champion of quality for our products, identify and share best practices, Identify, resolve and prevent poor practices.
  • Supporting customers on their benches to troubleshoot complex problems with the software. When necessary perform bug investigations and orchestrate the delivery of the necessary patch release to fix the issues.
  • Provide technical leadership to a Prepare the Future initiative targeted at ensuring early definition and modularity of the next generation of TMS software

    Extensive software development experience with Windows and/or Linux systems including experience with C/C++, Python, VX works and in particular, TCL.
  • Knowledge of DevOps and Jira for software development
  • Knowledge of real time hardware in the loop test systems
  • Knowledge of new technologies (IOT, Wireless, network and web technologies), This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company's success, reputation and sustainable growth.
