Full Job Description
The opportunity for a full time Social Worker has arisen within the Adult Mental Health Team and AMHP team. This post is open to experienced Social Workers as well as to Newly Qualified Social Workers and will provide an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to develop their career to become an Approved Mental Health Professional.
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a qualified Social Worker, Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Psychologist to undertake AMHP training at Master's level. This fast-track development role is ideal for practitioners who are motivated to grow their career within mental health and make a real difference in people's lives, while being fully supported to develop the knowledge, confidence and skills required for AMHP practice.
Alongside your training, you will hold a small, manageable caseload within the Mental Health Service, giving you valuable exposure to all aspects of statutory social care. You will work with individuals using a strengths-based, person-centred approach, supporting assessments, independence planning, safeguarding and risk management, while collaborating closely with families, communities and partner agencies. You will play a key role in multi-disciplinary working, contributing your professional expertise and learning directly from experienced AMHPs.
This role offers the chance to develop advanced statutory practice, including work under the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act and Care Act 2014, while building strong professional relationships across health, social care and voluntary sectors. We are looking for someone who brings commitment, resilience and a positive, professional attitude, and who shares our ambition to deliver high-quality, compassionate services that enhance independence, safety and wellbeing for the people we support., Disability Confident
