Social Worker - Fostering Team

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified social worker with fostering experience to support children and young people by recruiting, assessing, and supporting foster carers to provide safe, stable, and nurturing homes.,

• Manage a caseload within the fostering service, ensuring high-quality social work practice.
• Undertake assessments of prospective foster carers, including Form F assessments where required.
• Provide ongoing supervision, support, and guidance to approved foster carers.
• Complete annual reviews and contribute to fostering panel processes.
• Undertake statutory visits and ensure all safeguarding responsibilities are met.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with children, foster carers, families, and partner agencies.
• Prepare clear, accurate, and timely reports, assessments, and case records.
• Participate in care planning meetings, placement matching, and permanency planning.
• Ensure compliance with fostering regulations, national minimum standards, and organisational policies.
• Work collaboratively within a multi-agency environment to achieve positive outcomes for children and young people.
  
  Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work.
• Registration with Social Work England.
• Previous experience working within a fostering team or children's social care setting.
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Children Act 1989, fostering regulations, and safeguarding procedures.
• Experience completing assessments and managing complex cases.
• Excellent communication, assessment, and report-writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage competing priorities.
• Enhanced DBS check.
