Social Worker - Early Intervention & Prevention Team

Join Telford & Wrekin Council as a Senior Social Worker in our Early Intervention & Prevention Team, where you will play a vital role in supporting families and children in our community. As a key member of our team, you will lead initiatives aimed at preventing issues before they arise, ensuring that children and families receive the right support at the right time. Your expertise will be crucial in assessing needs, developing intervention strategies, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to promote positive outcomes. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
• Developing and implementing tailored intervention plans in collaboration with families and partner agencies.
• Providing supervision and support to junior staff and students, fostering their professional development.
• Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures.
• Engaging with community resources and services to enhance support for families.
  
  A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
• Registered with Social Work England.
• Significant experience in children's services, particularly in early intervention and prevention.
• Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to working collaboratively with families and professionals.
