Full Job Description

You are an experienced professional in managing CIN/CP and PLO work, capable of managing section 47 investigations, and adept at working at a fast pace. You possess a dedication to ensuring that the child is at the center of everything you do, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. You are seeking a temporary position with the potential for support and professional development in understanding St Helens practice standards., As part of the Duty Service, you will respond to all referrals received from the MASH, initiating assessments and plans for children. You will be on duty once every four weeks, responsible for responding to referrals and completing necessary assessments. The Duty Service consists of four teams, each managed by a team manager, an assistant team manager, and six social workers. This short-term role involves holding cases for a brief period on CIN with a view to step down or transferring cases of CP and PLO at the first planning meeting. Supervision and practice support are regularly provided, with an expectation to work a minimum of two days a week in the office, increasing to five days during duty weeks.
