- Conducting comprehensive assessments of individuals and families to identify needs and risks.
- Developing and implementing effective care plans in collaboration with service users and other professionals.
- Providing supervision and support to junior social workers and students, fostering their professional development.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to ensure integrated service delivery.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with local and national standards.
Barnet Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Assessment Team. This pivotal role involves working with vulnerable individuals and families to assess their needs and provide tailored support. As a Senior Social Worker, you will lead assessments, develop care plans, and ensure that services are delivered in a timely and effective manner. Your expertise will contribute to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and adults within our community., To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications and skills: - A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Significant post-qualification experience in social work, preferably within an assessment or safeguarding setting.
- Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound judgments in complex situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with service users and colleagues.
