Full Job Description

Richmond and Wandsworth Adult Social Services are looking for an experienced qualified Social Worker within the Teddington and Twickenham Locality Team. The team consists of 14 Social Workers, 4 Social Care Assessors, 2 Senior Social Workers and 2 Assistant Service Managers, with 1 Service Manager. We are co-located with the local District Nurses and Community Matrons in our 2 bases in Teddington and Whitton. About the role You will:

  • Carry out holistic assessments of individuals and carers, identifying needs, risks and opportunities for independence.
  • Work collaboratively with residents, families and partners using a strengths-based, person-centred approach.
  • Apply social work principles, professional curiosity and anti-discriminatory practice throughout your work.
  • Support residents to maximise independence, promote wellbeing and prevent harm.

    A recognised Social Work qualification and Social Work England registration.
  • Post-qualification experience in Adult Social Care.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and local authority duties, particularly around safeguarding.
  • Excellent communication, decision-making and time-management skills.
