Are you a dedicated and passionate Social Worker looking to make a significant impact in the community? Tameside Council is seeking a qualified Social Worker to join our Safeguarding Team on a permanent basis, offering a competitive salary of up to £45,091. In this vital role, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and families within our community. As a Social Worker in the Safeguarding Team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting assessments and developing care plans to address the needs of children and families.
  • Working collaboratively with multi-agency partners to ensure effective safeguarding interventions.
  • Providing support and guidance to families, promoting their strengths and resilience.
  • Managing a diverse caseload and maintaining accurate records in accordance with legislation and best practice.
  • Participating in court proceedings and presenting evidence as required.

    To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
  • A recognised Social Work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent).
  • Current Social Work England registration.
  • Experience working in a safeguarding environment or with children and families.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships.
