Full Job Description

Leicestershire County Council is seeking an experienced, motivated Senior Social Worker (Level 3) to join our Adults & Communities department. This is a key role for an ambitious practitioner who can confidently lead on complex casework, provide high quality statutory social care, and champion strengths based, person centred practice. About the Role You will play a crucial role in maintaining high professional standards, shaping good practice, and contributing to team development and service improvement.   • Have knowledge of social work methodologies, social care policies such as person-centred approaches and asset based social work, and relevant legislation including The Care Act, Mental Health Act, and Mental Capacity Act.
  • Have experience of effective assessment and risk management delivery, safeguarding experience, court work experience and multi-agency/multidisciplinary working and/or hospital discharge processes is essential.
  • Ideally have experience of working directly with people with Learning Disability and Autism.
  • Have experience of partnership working with adults to identify and meet need with creative and pragmatic solutions.
  • Be a confident communicator who is skilled in diplomacy, persuasion, assertive and conflict management and able to build effective working relationships and be able to work proactively individually but also as a team member.
  • Have good prioritisation and time management skills and have a valid UK driving licence or access to a vehicle
