Social Worker

Leicestershire County Council is seeking an experienced, motivated Senior Social Worker (Level 3) to join our Adults & Communities department. This is a key role for an ambitious practitioner who can confidently lead on complex casework, provide high quality statutory social care, and champion strengths based, person centred practice. • Have knowledge of social work methodologies, social care policies such as person-centred approaches and asset based social work, and relevant legislation including The Care Act, Mental Health Act, and Mental Capacity Act.
• Have experience of effective assessment and risk management delivery, safeguarding experience, court work experience and multi-agency/multidisciplinary working and/or hospital discharge processes is essential.
• Ideally have experience of working directly with people with Learning Disability and Autism.
• Have experience of partnership working with adults to identify and meet need with creative and pragmatic solutions.
• Be a confident communicator who is skilled in diplomacy, persuasion, assertive and conflict management and able to build effective working relationships and be able to work proactively individually but also as a team member.
• Have good prioritisation and time management skills and have a valid UK driving licence or access to a vehicle
