Full Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Leader to support a team in delivering responsive, personalised and outcome-focused services for people and their carers. We currently have opportunities in both Learning Disabilities - and Mental Health services. In this role, you will provide operational leadership, ensuring high-quality service delivery that meets both national standards and local priorities. You will oversee performance management, manage delegated budgets, support effective safeguarding practices, and work collaboratively with partner organisations to achieve positive outcomes for service users. You will play a key role in staff management and development, including recruitment, supervision, performance management, and fostering a positive and supportive team culture. The successful candidate will also contribute to service improvement, risk management, and the implementation of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills, sound decision-making abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality support services. This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK. We are currently not offering sponsorship for this role.

We are seeking a confident and compassionate leader who has experience managing teams within a health, social care, or support service environment.,

  • Be able to demonstrate skills in leading and motivating teams to deliver high-quality services
  • Have skills and knowledge in contributing to the oversight of managing performance, financial resources and general operational responsibilities
  • Be able to demonstrate skill, knowledge and experience of safeguarding practices, applying the relevant legislation and codes of practice
  • Be able to build effective partnerships with internal teams and external organisations
  • Have excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
  • Be experienced in handling complex situations, including complaints, disciplinary matters, and risk management
  • Be committed to promoting positive outcomes for individuals, carers, and communities
  • Be able to support, coach, and develop staff to achieve their full potential
  • You will be proactive, resilient, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a person-centred approach to service delivery.
