We're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Social Value & Safeguarding Apprentice to join our Safety, Security and Sustainability team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience while developing valuable professional skills in community engagement, sustainability, social impact, and corporate responsibility.

What You'll Do

Responsibilities included:

  • Support projects and campaigns that contribute to our Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability strategy
  • Build positive relationships with colleagues across the business to encourage engagement with social value initiatives
  • Work with charities, community groups, and industry partners to create meaningful social and environmental impact
  • Help promote campaigns and share success stories through internal communications
  • Assist with collecting, analysing, and reporting social value and sustainability data
  • Support the delivery and tracking of social value commitments, targets, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Help organise community events, awareness campaigns, and stakeholder engagement activities
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation relating to social value initiatives
  • Produce reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
  • Keep abreast of developments to ensure the business is aware of current and future opportunities and challenges in relation to social & environmental issues
  • Representing the business at events, conferences, and community engagement activities
  • Support safeguarding campaigns, reward and recognition schemes, and community-focused projects when required

Course: Corporate responsibility and sustainability practitioner (level 4)

Level: 4

Route: Business and administration

Apprenticeship Level: Higher



Working Arrangements

Working Week: Monday to Friday, 9am- 5pm, with a 30-minute lunch break each day. Agile working, a mix of office/work from home. However, to start with, more in-office time to settle into the role, with an opportunity to work at offices across the network.

Expected Duration: 2 Years
