The Social Value team within Strategy & Growth supports our clients, business lines and market sectors deliver impactful social, environmental and economic value. With strategic planning, client relationships and market insight we play a central role enabling sustainable, profitable growth across all business lines and market sectors. We are intentional, responsible and strategic, supporting key growth sectors, pursuits and work winning and client delivery aligned to our Sustainable Legacies strategy., You will support the delivery of our social value strategy across our business. You will work collaboratively across our offices and teams, community and education partners, and local communities to drive positive outcomes and track progress toward our social value objectives. - Support the development of social value delivery plans for regional teams, co-creating and supporting social value programmes that contribute to our Social Value Strategy.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify key areas for social impact aligned to our clients aims and objectives.
- Develop and maintain relationships with our external partners and third sector organisations.
- Support the development of resources to enable the AECOM workforce to deliver social value programmes, for example resource packs, materials, and partnerships for educational engagement programmes. Engage and upskill employees through training and guidance resources, and managing our Social Value intranet site.
- Manage our corporate social value policies and process including social value hours usage, workplace giving programme, external social value requests.
- Collate, analyse and report social value data. Generate regular reports and case studies on social impact performance for internal and external stakeholders.
- Work with the Strategy & Growth team to manage budget requests, track expenditure and engage with suppliers.
- Stay informed about best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory requirements related to social value, corporate social responsibility and sustainability.
We're looking for a passionate and motivated graduate to join the Social Value team within our Strategy & Growth function at AECOM, at either our Birmingham, Glasgow, Leeds or London offices., Ready to push the limits of what's possible? Here's what we're looking for: - You hold a Degree or a Masters in a relevant subject (for instance: Social Science, Geography, Sustainability, preferred but not essential. Relevant experience in this or similar roles would be advantageous.
- A passion for delivering positive outcomes for the community: A demonstrated interest in delivering positive social impact, sustainability, social justice, or community development.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate the benefits of social value to internal and external partners. You will be able to present information clearly and effectively to a wide range of stakeholders.
- You have proven organisational skills and attention to detail- evidence of an organised approach to task/project management - Ability to structure & prioritise work effectively through close cooperation with the team as a whole with the ability to manage multiple projects and respond to requests.
- Digital & Analytical Skills: Able to understand and analyze data, and measure the impact of initiatives. You have strong skills in Microsoft Office (specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and digital literacy.
- Problem solving including bringing new ideas and innovation to the team.
- You're proactive and ambitious, work well both alone and in a team, and can bring about new ideas on engagement. You use your initiative to undertake tasks efficiently and independently.
- You're willing to work flexibly and travel when required to meet with clients and project teams.
