Full Job Description
- Develop and implement a social media strategy aligned with the charity's goals.
- Create, schedule, and publish engaging content across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.).
- Monitor social media channels, respond to messages, and engage with followers.
- Track performance metrics, prepare reports, and provide insights to improve engagement.
- Collaborate with the fundraising, communications, and events teams to support campaigns.
- Stay up-to-date with social media trends and best practices.
Proven experience managing social media accounts, preferably for a charity or non-profit. - Strong writing, editing, and content creation skills.
- Familiarity with social media analytics tools and scheduling platforms.
- Creative mindset with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Passion for the charity's mission. Desirable:
- Experience with graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Suite).
- Knowledge of social media advertising.
- Video content creation skills., Our charity entertains, educates and empowers young people through films and education of Kindness to build emotional intelligence. Higher emotional intelligence means an improved sense of well-being, and the ability to deal with deeper issues affecting mental health such as standing up to bullying, dealing with loneliness etc, all of which can start as early as primary school. Embedding very early on a culture of kindness to oneself and mindfulness to others means children are taught essential life skills to draw on - today as children, tomorrow as adults. An emotionally intelligent child is more likely to be happy, do well academically, grow up to be a confident adult, contributing positively to society and community, with a high regard for personal well-being.
