Social Care Co-ordinator

Working within Adult Social Care, you will support the effective day-to-day delivery of Joint Equipment Stores. You will lead and supervise frontline staff, promote high standards of practice and ensure residents receive timely, person-centred support that achieves positive outcomes., Lead, supervise and motivate frontline staff, creating a positive, inclusive and high-performing team culture. Support staff to help vulnerable adults achieve their goals, exercise choice and maximise their independence. Complete regular supervision and appraisals, identifying and addressing individual training and development needs. Promote continuous improvement, support changes in practice and embed consistently high standards of service delivery. Manage relevant HR processes, including recruitment, attendance, capability, disciplinary and grievance matters, in accordance with council policies. Monitor performance, address areas requiring improvement and ensure compliance with legislation, safeguarding requirements, procedures and quality standards. Respond professionally to complaints and enquiries, maintaining excellent customer care and clear communication. Demonstrate resilience and sound judgement when managing complex situations and challenging behaviour.

We are looking for an experienced, motivated and compassionate Social Care Co-ordinator to join our highly regarded Joint Equipment Stores service. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a borough-wide preventative service that supports adults to remain safe, well and independent in their own homes.,

• A relevant professional qualification, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• At least two years' relevant experience in Adult Social Care, health, prevention services or a related environment.
• At least one year's experience of supervising or managing staff, performance and service delivery.
• Experience of improving services and the customer experience.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, relevant legislation, assessment frameworks and service delivery within Adult Social Care. Strong leadership, communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• A commitment to person-centred practice and achieving excellent outcomes for vulnerable adults.
Working arrangements This service operates seven days a week, and the postholder will work one weekend in four as part of a rota. You must be willing to work from any base in Sandwell and may be required to move between teams or functions according to service needs. You must be able to travel throughout the borough. A full current driving licence and the ability to use fleet vehicles are required. The role may involve using a vehicle for visits and transporting customers or small items of equipment.
