At Mitie, we look after the places, assets, and people that keep the UK running. We are currently expanding our dedicated B&Q Security Operations Centre (SOC) team in Northampton, and we are looking for vigilant, proactive, and communication-focused individuals to join us on a permanent basis.

What You'll Do as a SOC Operator:

As a vital part of our security network, you will be the "eyes and ears" protecting B&Q stores and distribution centres nationwide. Your day-to-day will include:

-Proactive Monitoring: Operating state-of-the-art CCTV systems to detect, deter, and disrupt criminal activity.

-Incident Management: Taking control during live incidents, communicating clearly with on-site teams, and coordinating with law enforcement when needed.

-Evidence Gathering: Writing accurate incident reports and compiling evidence packs to support investigations.

-Customer Service: Handling incoming calls and emails with the utmost professionalism.

-Compliance: Ensuring all operations strictly adhere to data protection laws and industry standards.

Excellent Communicators: You need a positive attitude, a professional telephone manner, and the ability to write clear, concise reports.

-Tech-Savvy Individuals: Comfortable using computers, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

-Cool Under Pressure: The ability to stay focused, follow detailed processes, and make quick decisions in fast-paced situations.

-Team Players: A strong work ethic and the ability to build great relationships with colleagues and clients.

-Flexibility: Ready to commit to a 4-on, 4-off shift pattern covering days, nights, and weekends.

-Holding an active SIA CCTV Licence is a major plus, but not essential as we can fund this for the right candidate!
