SMTH Tester

Long Term Work Due to continued growth, RSS Infrastructure is seeking experienced SMTH Testers to support Points Grinding operations, working closely alongside Welders and track teams. Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee signalling testing activities during Points Grinding works in line with Network Rail standards
Carry out SMTH testing after points grinding activities
Work collaboratively alongside Welders and track delivery teams to ensure safe and compliant integration of signalling assets
Perform fault-finding, diagnostics, and problem resolution on signalling Equipment
Ensure full compliance with safety requirements and investigate system failures
Mentor and support members of the signalling team
Accurately report and escalate issues arising during installations and renewals Essential Requirements Proven experience as an SMTH Tester on signalling renewals
SMTH (a),(b),(c)/Basic Electrical Safety (BS1 & BS2)
HW and Clamp Box competence - essential
Full UK driving licence with flexibility to travel and work away
