Full Job Description
The role involves producing detailed quotes and tenders for new control panels, modifications to existing control panels, and site installations, ensuring all proposals are accurately prepared in line with customer specifications and project requirements. This includes assessing technical documentation, understanding client needs, and providing cost-effective and compliant solutions that support the successful delivery of projects. Responsibilities:
- Key activities within the role of Technical Sales Engineer include but not limited to; Produce accurate panel and site works estimates, and tender submissions Compilation of component and pricing information to meet spec requirements Liaise with Star group staff to collate required information in a timely manner Supporting the Sales and Design teams (Star and SMES) with tender submissions and project setup, particularly for small works and control changeovers. Develop and maintain customers relationships Adhere to SMES health, safety and quality guidelines
- Participate in team continuous improvement ethos
It would be desirable that the successful candidate will have an appropriate academic background and proven sales experience in a similar role or industry. The successful candidate must have: Excellent technical and communication skills along with the ability to work to deadlines Good organisational skills and ability to manage your own workload Effective and confident communicator who is able to build strong relationships across teams. Proactive, solution focused, and thrives on solving problems before they arise. Self-motivation and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
