Skin Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist

The Band 7 Dermatology Skin Cancer Nurse provides advanced specialist

nursing care to patients with suspected, confirmed and recurrent skin

cancers across the dermatology and skin cancer pathway. The post holder

will work autonomously and collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to

deliver high-quality, evidence-based care, ensuring patients receive timely

assessment, treatment, education and ongoing support throughout their

cancer journey.

1. The Dermatology Skin Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) is a senior specialist practitioner responsible for providing expert, compassionate and evidence-based nursing care for patients with suspected or confirmed skin cancer. Working as an integral member of the Skin Cancer Multidisciplinary Team (MDT), the post holder will coordinate the patient pathway from the point of suspicion through diagnosis, treatment, recovery, survivorship and, where appropriate, palliative and end-of-life care.
