Job Description

We have a wonderful opportunity for an experienced skilled Butcher to join our established and highly skilled team working at our Bridgemere shop located within the exceptional Blue Diamond Garden Centre. Working closely with the Shop Manager and the Butchery and Delicatessen team, you will be fully competent in all aspects of butchery with excellent butchery and display standards, providing premium quality products and service to our valued customers whilst supporting the day to day running of the shop, helping to drive performance and contributing to developing innovative, award winning quality products.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience as a skilled butcher in a busy retail environment


• Commercial awareness and confidence balancing shop performance with customer service


• Passion for product development and delivering premium quality produce


• Drive, enthusiasm and pride in high standards

This position is full-time permanent, based on working 42.5 hours per week across 5 days on a 7 day rota. Walter Smith are nationally recognised for our Supreme Champion Great Taste Awards pork pies, consistently winning regional and national awards with a number of shops located throughout the UK.
