Sizewell C Sustainability Industrial Placement Join our Sustainability Industrial Placement programme within the Sustainability Team at Sizewell C. Overview Sizewell C is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk that will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for at least 60 years. The placement offers students a 12-month, hands-on learning experience at a junior level in a dynamic, multi-dimensional environment. Responsibilities
- Work across the Sustainability Team, supporting Corporate Sustainability, embedding environmental sustainability into the construction programme and learning about social value.
- Support sustainability communications campaigns, training and other projects to embed a culture of sustainability across the organisation.
- Conduct desk-based research to support the work of the Sustainability Team.
- Assist across the team to help realise Sustainability commitments. Qualifications
- Disciplines in Mechanical Engineering, Economics, Environmental, Sustainability or relevant Engineering or Science subjects.
- A genuine interest in the energy industry and passion for sustainability.
- An interest in working in major nuclear and infrastructure programmes.
- Open-minded, flexible and agile thinking to succeed in a fast-paced project environment.
- Strategic mindset with innovative ideas.
- Effective interpersonal skills including high ethical behaviour, integrity, humility and character.
- Effective communication skills to manage stakeholders and prioritise competing demands. Security Vetting Appointment requires meeting the criteria for Security Vetting, normally requiring at least three of the past five years of UK residence.
