Full Job Description

We are looking to recruit a Sixth Form Learning Mentor to join the school's outstanding Sixth Form team. This is a key role in the Sixth Form team mentoring sixth form students to ensure they make outstanding progress in their academic studies.

The role also includes monitoring performance and attendance of students and developing positive attitudes to learning. We are looking for someone who has the ability to inspire and motivate students, possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills and is passionate about supporting young people through this crucial stage of their education and development. We welcome applicants from a wide range of training and employment backgrounds and can consider a job share. You will join a team with three other Learning Mentors and a wider Sixth Form team.

Our Sixth Form achieved an 'Outstanding' judgement from Ofsted in February 2024. 'Pupils aspire to join the impressive sixth form at the school. Students reach levels of scholarship found in university studies and achieve exceptional outcomes' - Ofsted 2024.

We can offer a supportive environment with outstanding professional development and future career opportunities and a well-resourced, positive workplace. You'll work with committed colleagues, benefit from a focus on staff well-being, and will be eligible to apply under the children of staff admission rule.

If you feel that this could be the right next step in your career, we would love to hear from you.

Sandringham School is committed to ensuring inclusion, diversity and equality of opportunity. We welcome applications from all suitable candidates and encourage those from underrepresented groups, and/or with protected characteristics, to apply.
