Full Job Description
We're looking for a Site Supervisor to join our North Northamptonshire Council team based in Brixworth, Northamptonshire. We're looking for an enthusiastic individual with a proven track record in supervising onsite maintenance and improvement schemes. You'll be working on a live public highway, promoting a human-focused approach to safety whilst ensuring compliance with all relevant SHEQ processes and procedures., Location: Brixworth, Northamptonshire - site based 5 days per weekHours: Permanent Fulltime 40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to usSalary: up to £40,000 per year + company van + excellent benefitsWe are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Site Supervisor, you'll be working within the North Northamptonshire Council team, supporting them in delivering quality civil engineering projects. Your day to day will include:
-Ensuring the health and safety of yourself, the workforce and the public in accordance with Kier processes and procedures
-Managing and administering construction works including footway reconstruction, carriageway resurfacing, drainage improvements and structures repairs
-Carrying out regular health and safety inspections, monitoring progress on site and communicating any issues to site managers
-Supporting the implementation of CDM duties and ensuring ongoing compliance with risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of work
-Inspecting quality of work in accordance with inspection test plans, scheme designs and specifications
Hold relevant industry qualifications, including SSSTS or SMSTS, NRSWA Supervisor, 12D Lantra Traffic Management, Temporary Works Supervisor, and First Aid certification
-Possess a full UK driving licence and are willing to travel across sites as required
-Have proven experience supervising direct labour teams and civil engineering subcontractors within a construction, highways or infrastructure environment
-Demonstrate strong leadership, communication and people management skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues, clients and members of the public
-Have a solid understanding of civil engineering, resurfacing and structures works, alongside a strong knowledge of CDM regulations, health and safety standards, and safe systems of work
