Full Job Description
We are seeking to appoint a team of site security officers to work alongside our well established portering team. These are newly created posts and the primary responsibility will be to fulfil fire warden and site security duties, alongside the portering duties required to maintain a high standard of service throughout the hospital . The posts are 35 hours per week, nights only covering 4 nights in 7 on a rota basis., The successful candidates will:
- Conduct regular fire checks throughout the shift, addressing or escalating any issues as they arise .
- Perform site security checks , ensuring the building has been properly secured, and remains so overnight .
- Routine portering duties A driving licence to drive Health Board Vehicles is essential for this role
- Four main hospitals: Bronglais Hospital in Aberystwyth; Glangwili Hospital in Carmarthen; Prince Philip Hospital in Llanelli; and Withybush Hospital in Haverfordwest
- Five community hospitals: Amman Valley and Llandovery hospitals in Carmarthenshire; Tregaron Hospital in Ceredigion; and Tenby and South Pembrokeshire hospitals in Pembrokeshire
- Two integrated care centres: Aberaeron and Cardigan in Ceredigion, and several other community settings
- 47 general practices (six of which are health board managed practices); dental practices (including four orthodontic); 99 community pharmacies; 43 general ophthalmic practices; and 8 ophthalmic domiciliary providers
- Numerous mental health and learning disabilities services
