Long Term Project (2029) A highly respected, family-run construction and development contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the housebuilding phase of a flagship residential development in Pembrokeshire. This is a rare opportunity to join a business with a strong local reputation, a multi-year secured pipeline, and a commitment to staff development across all levels. You will be responsible for the successful day-to-day management of the housebuilding delivery, ensuring outstanding standards of quality, safety, programme and compliance. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the housebuilding phase and drive construction progress
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and directly employed labour
- Prepare short-term look-ahead programmes aligned to the master programme
- Oversee digital site records: QA, daily diaries, H&S inspections and documentation
- Manage quality inspections, snagging and client sign-off
- Support design queries, buildability reviews and technical coordination
- Ensure strict adherence to company health & safety procedures
- Assist with procurement schedules and NEC3 reporting
- Liaise with Building Control, Structural Warranty providers, Clerk of Works and client representatives
- Lead by example, maintaining high standards of professionalism on site Experience & Qualifications Required
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings
- Strong organisational, planning and coordination skills
- Confidence using tablets/iPads and digital QA systems
- Knowledge of modern building regulations and compliance requirements
- Experience managing subcontractors and direct labour
- Strong communication and problem-solving ability
- Good awareness of H&S legislation and site best practice
- SMSTS
- CSCS (Manager/Advanced)
- First Aid at Work
- Temporary Works Coordinator/Supervisor (advantageous)
- Fire Marshal (advantageous)
- Full UK driving licence Whats on Offer
