Purpose of the jobTo safely undertake plant operations, decommissioning and dismantling of nuclear facilities, plant and equipment in accordance with approved documentation, within the boundaries and restrictions of Nuclear/Construction Sites and in direct support of specific projects. of site activities Duties and RequirementsEssentialClassified radiation workerBasic radiological awareness trainingPractical knowledge and experience of radiological conditions and contamination assessmentsPractical knowledge and experience of PPE, RPE and radiological monitoring systemsPractical knowledge and experience of lifting/slinging operationsPractical knowledge and experience of erection, operation and dismantling of temporary structuresGood understanding of tooling and equipment and their safe application in the workplaceReasonable level of intelligence and education, CSE/GCSE or equivalent, with some knowledge of technical terms and commercial arithmetic with basic keyboard skillsAbility to work to written procedures in order to minimise risks to persons, property and environmentAbility to communicate and work effectively within a teamExcellent health, safety and environment awareness for industrial workingA flexible attitude to work, capability and willingness of being trained to undertake a wide range of duties including the use of standard and specialist decommissioning toolingUp to 1 years' previous experience working in an industrial and/or project environmentPhysical fitness and manual dexterity Desirable:A general engineering, craft or building background and / or knowledge gained through experience and on the job trainingNVQ Level 2 (minimum or working towards)Relevant CSCS card discipline for construction sitesRelevant CPCS or NPORS cards for the operation of plant and equipmentIPAF and PASMA trainingRelevant security clearance for Nuclear Licensed sitesFull UK driving license Employee Staff Benefits:8.5% Employer Pension Contribution with Life Assurance CoverPrivate Medical Scheme
