Laidlaw Schools Trust is seeking an experienced, proactive and hands-on Site Manager to join the central Estates Team and lead the day-to-day management of our Sedgefield cluster sites, comprising Sedgefield Community College (Teaching and Learning Centre) and Sedgefield Hardwick Primary Academy. This is an exciting opportunity to join Laidlaw Schools Trust, a multi-academy trust with a clear purpose, to provide extraordinary education for all young people. As Site Manager, you will play a key role within the wider Estates Team, leading all aspects of facilities management across the Sedgefield Cluster. Reporting to the Estates Business Partners, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards across both sites. You will lead the Site Team and oversee the day-to-day management of the schools, including planned and reactive maintenance, health and safety compliance, site security, contractor management and procurement activities. Through this work, you will help ensure that our buildings and grounds remain safe, secure, well maintained and conducive to learning.

  • Proven experience in site or facilities management (school experience desirable).
  • Strong understanding of health & safety legislation and building compliance requirements.
  • Hands-on practical skills for basic maintenance and repair.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and IT skills.
