Site Manager

We are seeking a proactive and reliable School Site Manager to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring our school building, grounds and facilities are safe, well-maintained, and compliant - creating a secure and positive environment for all of our pupils, staff and visitors.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexibility to support occasional evenings, weekends and emergency call-outs as required.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out day-to-day repairs and maintenance (basic carpentry, plumbing, painting).

- Conduct routine inspections and respond promptly to maintenance issues.

- Support health and safety compliance, including fire safety and water hygiene checks.

- Maintain external areas such as playgrounds, paths and car parks.

- Assist with site security, opening/closing procedures and emergency responses.

- Log completed works and assist with audits and inspections.

- Provide support for school activities and liaise courteously with staff, pupils and visitors.

Practical experience in building maintenance, caretaking or facilities work.

- Good knowledge of health and safety regulations.

- Ability to carry out minor repairs safely and competently.

- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.

- Flexible, trustworthy and a child-focused approach.

Requirements:

- Full UK driving licence.

- Willingness to undergo DBS checks.

- Basic IT skills - for logging jobs and emails.
