Full Job Description
My client are a national civil engineering contractor who are currently seeking a Site Manager to help deliver a water treatment scheme in Taunton, with a start available Monday. The project involves tunnelling and shaft construction, so previous experience in these areas is essential. Site Manager Responsibilities:
- Managing day-to-day site operations
- Supervising subcontractors and site teams
- Managing tunnelling and shaft works
- Toolbox talks
- Client and stakeholder liaison
- Health and safety compliance
- Managing RAMS, permits and site documentation
- Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to specification
- Monitoring quality and maintaining site records
- Reporting progress to the Project Manager
Black or Gold CSCS - SMSTS
- Previous water treatment experience is essential
- Previous tunnelling and shaft experience is essential
- Strong civil engineering background
- Experience managing subcontractors and site teams
- Good understanding of temporary works and deep excavations
- IT literate
- Full UK driving licence
