Job Title: Site Maintenance Operative

Location: Spondon

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Pay: £14.50 per hour (PAYE)

Our client is a global leader in chemistry, delivering material solutions across a wide range of industries. They are currently seeking a Site Maintenance Operative to support site operations, with a strong focus on 5S principles, visual management, and maintaining high site standards.

This role is temporary ongoing, playing a key part in ensuring the site remains clean, organised, and audit-ready at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain high standards of housekeeping across yard, production, and office areas
• Support visual management of the site, ensuring clear organisation, designated storage areas, and visible standards are consistently maintained
• Carry out general yard duties to promote a safe, efficient, and well-presented working environment
• Power washing and cleaning external areas to ensure cleanliness and hazard reduction
• Assist in maintaining clear walkways, storage zones, and waste areas in line with site standards
• Carry out basic site upkeep tasks including painting walls, touch-ups, and general maintenance of facilities
• Support continuous improvement by identifying and reporting opportunities to improve site organisation and cleanliness
• Assist with general maintenance and site duties as required

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar environment (manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial) preferred
• Understanding of 5S, housekeeping standards, or visual workplace principles is advantageous
• Physically fit and able to carry out manual work
• FLT Counterbalance Licence desirable
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
• Strong attention to detail with pride in maintaining a clean and organised work environment
