Full Job Description

Site Directors will manage overall operational site delivery of planned and unplanned demand, flow, and discharge.
Maintains oversight of escalation of incidents effecting site safety and flow, being a point of escalation and communication cascade across clinical groups and with partner agencies including GM ICB &SCC including NWAS.
Delivers strategic leadership and input for forward planning on site developments and issues, including the safe management of sites in the context of place/locality.
Responsible for development of improvement plans for maximising flow and discharge.
Responsible for co-ordinating site level winter planning in conjunction with Clinical Groups and Corporate colleagues.
Manages site and discharge teams relating to the specific hospital site/sites., + Responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for the day-to-day management of the hospital site, ensuring safe and effective service delivery across all Clinical Groups.
+ Maintains oversight of operational pressures, implementing escalation processes to support patient safety and service continuity.
+ Leads and coordinates patient flow across the hospital, supporting Clinical Groups to ensure effective admission, transfer and discharge of emergency and elective patients.
+ Works with clinical and operational teams to address capacity challenges, improve pathways and maintain safe bed utilisation.
+ Acts as a key escalation point for operational issues affecting multiple Clinical Groups, including estates, digital systems, infection prevention and control, staffing and site safety concerns.
+ Coordinates responses to major incidents, business continuity events and EPRR incidents to ensure an organised operational response.
+ Works with external partners including social care, Integrated Care Boards, ambulance services and neighbouring trusts to support complex discharges and system-wide patient flow.
