Accountable to the Chief Operating Officer, the Site Director of Operations and Flow is a senior Trust-wide leadership role with full operational, performance and resource accountability for site management and patient flow services at St George's.
The postholder leads the Integrated Operations Centre (Flow and Site Team) and associated services including Transfer of Care/Discharge, EPRR, CAPMan/Repatriation, and Transport (TaB), alongside oversight of the Trust's non-elective pathway.
Working within a clinically led structure alongside Divisional Triumvirates, this role combines strong operational grip with strategic planning, financial accountability and system collaboration to ensure safe, effective and sustainable delivery of care across emergency and elective pathways., We are seeking a motivated and engaging senior leader to work closely with the Chief Operating Officer and wider site leadership to ensure robust, productive and effective operational delivery across site management and patient flow. You will provide strong leadership to the Integrated Operations Centre and its functions, ensuring services are well managed, inclusive, and delivering Trust operational, clinical and financial objectives.
You will be a proactive collaborator, working with Divisional Triumvirates, operational and clinical teams, and partners across South West London to deliver consistent, high-quality care, strong patient flow and safe capacity management 24/7--supporting the Trust to meet access standards and deliver safe, timely discharge.
This is an excellent opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping how patients move through the hospital, taking a strategic and improvement-led approach that balances day-to-day operational grip with transformation. You will be passionate about ensuring patient interests are at the heart of service delivery, with strong clinical engagement and the credibility to work across disciplines and organisations.
