This brand-new school, opening initially with Year 7 in the secondary phase in September 2025, operates a modern Building Management System, and this role requires someone with the right mix of knowledge and skills to manage and monitor the system, and undertake more traditional site management duties. This is a rare opportunity to ensure the smooth running of a brand-new building serving the local community and be part of the founding staff team., This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (2013 and 2020). John Taylor MAT is looking for an experienced, flexible and committed individual to join its newest, and only 'all-through' school in our Trust family. Built from the ground up, Rugeley John Taylor will serve local communities, offering a 'gold standard' learning experience to the youngest learners all the way through to sixth formers.,

  • Experience in a similar role and can demonstrate an understanding of buildings and facilities management and
  • maintenance
  • Experience of opening a new school or education facility, or project management
  • Demonstrate and act on initiative to undertake a number of tasks, as and when required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Willingness to undertake training and the motivation to get to grips with the systems in the building
  • A willingness to go the extra mile as the school and staff team evolves
  • You will play a key role in ensuring the best learning and working environment for pupils and colleagues.
