Full Job Description
Site Assistant H4/H5 (6-14) plus a pro rata unsociable hours allowance based on £1,443 per annum Part-time role (2-3 days per week, 52 weeks per year) Following a fortnightly alternating shift pattern of 6.30am to 2.30pm/3pm and 10am/10.30am to 6.30pm during term-time. Applications would also be welcome from candidates' seeking full-time employment. We are seeking an energetic, hard-working, self-motivated, flexible person to work within the Site Team providing effective and efficient site services. Your duties will include:
- Building security and site safety checks
- Cleaning and general site upkeep
- Porterage
- Minor repairs and maintenance
- Supporting the smooth running of the school Ideally, you will have either experience of similar premises work or relevant practical DIY skills, but these are not essential. The successful applicant must take pride in their work and be committed to maintaining a clean and safe environment for all users of the site. You need to be able to communicate in a friendly and effective manner and to support other staff members to ensure the best outcomes for the students at the school. Good team working is essential as well as the ability to work alone using your initiative. St Mary's is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All appointments to posts in the school are made through stringent adherence to the requirements of 'Keeping Children safe in Education'. The successful applicant will be required to undertake online safeguarding training, and all positions are subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring check from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
