Full Job Description
Carrying out maintenance, repairs, and DIY tasks across the school site
Ensuring the school buildings and grounds are safe, secure, and well-presented
Supporting health and safety compliance and site inspections
Managing site security, including opening and locking up the premises
Liaising with contractors and overseeing maintenance works
Responding to emergencies and resolving issues quickly
Supporting school events and community lettings
Maintaining records, inspections, and compliance documentation
️ Practical maintenance, repair, and DIY skills
️ Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements
️ Reliable, proactive, and adaptable approach
️ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
️ Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
️ Confident communicator who can build positive relationships with staff, pupils, visitors, and contractors
We operate a rotating shift pattern to support the needs of the school and lettings programme:
Week 1: Five morning shifts starting at 7:00am
Week 2: Five afternoon/evening shifts starting at 12:30pm
The pattern alternates weekly and may occasionally vary to meet operational requirements.
