To be a professional role model, leading and coordinating the Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) team. To provide specialist nursing advice to support and facilitate high quality, individualised care to patients and relatives in collaboration with the multi professional team, in line with the local and national targets. • Registered Adult Nurse
• Intravenous accreditation
• Mentorship course or equivalent
• ILS/ALS or equivalent, Post-registration speciality course eg acute /emergency care skills
• BSc Nursing or working towards
• Management/leadership course, Extensive post-registration nursing experience,with significant experience at Band 6 within an acute setting/ SDEC setting
• Current experience of managing staff
• Evidence of teaching and developing staff, both formally and informally, Evidence of leadership development
• Clear evidence of managing quality improvement and change, Demonstrates initiative and innovative practice
• Ability to facilitate change management
• Ability to be reflective, accept criticism and act constructively
• Positive role model
• Compiling comprehensive duty rota for nursing and healthcare assistants
• Knowledge and understanding of current issues facing emergency care
• Evidence of post registration study/professional development
