Sister / Charge Nurse

The Ambulatory Assessment Unit (AAU) is a thriving unit, seeing up to 70 patients a day for clinical assessment and review. The role will oversee the day to day running of the Unit, supported by the Deputy Matron, ensuring that the patients receive high quality, safe and effective care. AAU is an ever growing department, with an MDT that works really closely together, always striving to make changes and improve the service to meet the needs of the population it serves., The Sister/Charge Nurse is integral to leading the team and overseeing the day to day operational function of the Unit. Management of staff, clinical support of patients, budgetary oversight and good knowledge of clinical governance and how we continually evolve and improve are key components of the role., As the Sister/Charge Nurse, you will be at the forefront of driving excellence in patient care and service delivery. You will lead a team of talented nursing professionals, fostering a calm and professional environment where innovation thrives. Your strong leadership qualities will be essential in guiding your team through challenges and ensuring the highest standards of care.

• Oversee the daily operations of our innovative Unit, implementing best practices and new approaches to improve patient outcomes.
• Provide guidance and support to your team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
• Maintain a calm and professional atmosphere, ensuring that all team members are equipped to deliver exceptional care.
• Contribute to the strategic direction of the service, working closely with the Matron and Deputy Matron to align goals and objectives.
• Monitor and evaluate service performance, implementing improvements to maintain high standards of care and patient satisfaction.
  
  At least 1 year at band 6
Desirable criteria
• band 6 experience within speciality
• previous band 7 experience, You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
